Non-bailable warrant issued against Raj Thackeray
Jamshedpur, Jun 13 (UNI) A local court today issued a non-bailable warrant against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo Raj Thackeray in connection with his alleged ''anti-Bihari remarks'' in a rally in Mumbai last year.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar issued the warrant and ordered to produce Mr Thackeray in court within June 29.
Lawyer Sudhir Kumar had filed the case against Mr Thackeray on March 13 last year after he allegedly made indecent remarks against Biharis in a rally in Mumbai on March 9.
Mr Thackeray moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case to a Maharashtra court but the apex court ordered him to go to the Jharkhand High Court, which refused to stop the proceedings of the local court.
