NCP workers taking advantage of Home portfolio
Kolhapur, Jun 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress party spokesman Hussein Dalwai today charged that the party workers of NCP, the partner in ruling alliance in the state government, was taking undue advantage of state Home portfolio.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Dalwai alleged that NCP workers were not afraid of any action against them, despite breaking the law, as Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, who also holds Home portfolio, is their leader.
He said Mr Patil had yesterday said stern action would be taken against those involved in the last week's attack on the residence of Marathi daily Loksatta's editor Kumar Ketkar in Thane by activists of Shiv Sangram, an outfit of NCP.
The attacker's leader Vinayak Mete, former NCP MLA, has cordial relations with Mr Patil and hence no action is possible, he added.
