Bangalore, Jun 13: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at few places over Interior Karnataka.

Very heavy amounts of rainfall (cm): Karwar 16; Kota 14; Udupi13.

Heavy amounts of rainfall (cm): Ankola, Kadra, Agumbe 12 each; Kumta 11; Kundapur 10; Mudibidre 9; Puttur 8; Mulki, Mani, Gulbarga, Kammardi 7 each.

Other chief amounts of rainfall(cm): Bajpe, Bantwal,Dharmasthala, Kollur, Bhatkal, Shirali, Honavar 6 each; Mangalore, Panambur, Belthangadi, Gerusoppa, Jagalbet 5 each; Karkala, Manchikere, Yellapura, Joida, Kiravatti, Sedam, Yadgir, Madikeri, Hosanagar, Thirthahalli, Koppa 4 each.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

FISHRIES WARNING: Strong onshore winds mainly from westerly to southwesterly direction speed occasionally reaching 45 to 55 kmph likely along off Karnataka coast.
