JSS University VC assumes charge

Mysore, Jun 13 (UNI) Dr B Suresh, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of JSS University, assumed charge at the university campus opened on the outskirts of the city today.

In a simple function organised JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs the University, Suttur mutt seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji inaugurated the administrative office.

Dr Suresh, a former student of the JSS college, served in a various capacities in the JSS institutions including Principal of the Pharmacy college at Ooty in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking on the occasions he said that at present the university has four institutions under its umbrella. However, more colleges run by the JSS Mahavidyapeetha would be added to the university.

The main focus would be on to provide international standard of education besides helping improve the quality of higher education system in the state, he added.
