Fishery Extension Officers to go on mass leave from July 1
Bhubaneswar, Jun 13 (UNI) The Orissa Fisheries Extension Officers today threatened to go on a mass leave from July 1 if their demand was not conceded to by the government.
Orissa Fisheries Extension Officers Association (OFEOA) general secretary Pravat Kumar Mohapatra told newspersons here that the association took the decision as the government did not pay any heed to their demand.
The association demanded for the amalgamation of the post of Fishery Extension Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Fisheries with the posts of Junior Fishery Officer with pay scale of Rs 6500-10,500.
Mr Mohapatra said before going on mass leave the Fishery Extension officers would wear black badges from June 16 to 22, launch a pen down strike from June 23 to 30 and organise gate meeting in front of the Directorate of fisheries.
