Deshmukh to pursue ethanol issue with PM
Mumbai, Jun 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said he would take up the issue of increasing the volume of ethanol in mixture with petrol with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh soon and fix its purchase price.
An assurance to this effect was given by Mr Deshmukh to the State Cooperative Sugar Federation chairman Balasaheb Patil here.
He said the ethanol rate of Rs 21.50 is reasonable and in the backdrop of hike in petrol prices, ethanol mixing in petrol is a must, he added.
