Deshmukh talks of faith and divinity

Mumbai, Jun 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today thanked divine powers for helping him retain his post and said 'if you have faith, divine blessings are always there'.

Mr Deshmukh, who is an ardent follower of Satya Saibaba, quipped ''your faith always give you an experience.'' He made this spiritually-toned comment during a brief interaction with reporters, who asked the Chief Minister whether the black clouds that had gathered over his office had vanished due to divine blessings.

The question obviously pertained to the consistent rumours of Mr Deshmukh's removal. His rival, State Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, had unsuccessfully tried to oust him.

Earlier, the Chief Minister handed over 12 mobile medical vans donated by Sri Satya Sai Seva organisation.
