Deccan Chronicle in talks with NYT for unit stake sale

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) Newspaper publisher Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd today said it is in discussion with New York Times Co to sell a five per cent stake in its unit Sieger Solutions Ltd.

''The New York Times Company, owners of the International Herald Tribune (IHT), has proposed and is in discussion to acquire a five per cent equity stake in our subsidiary Sieger Solutions Ltd Holdings Ltd,'' a company statement said.

However, no financial details were disclosed.

The Financial Chronicle, published from Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore will now be published in association with the IHT, it said, adding that the newspaper will also carry a special four-page global news section from the IHT regularly.
