Audrey Tautou set to play Coco Chanel in new movie

London, June 13 : French actress Audrey Tautou is all set to play Coco Chanel in her next movie, it has been revealed.

The Amelie star, whose latest film Priceless hits the theatres this week, will start shooting the role at the end of the summer.

"If everything goes to plan, I shall play her, but it's not a huge biopic about her," The Sun quoted her, as saying.

"It's a film about her early life, her personality, all her experiences that lead us to see and understand who she will become.

"It's an interesting way to look at her. It is not fictional, it is based on her life. We're going to take every element of her young life," she added.

In Priceless, Audrey stars as a gold-digging seductress who comes unstuck when she entices a flat broke bartender she mistakes for a millionaire.

"It was new to play a woman who plays with her sincerity, and who is a seductress, a manipulator and a liar!" she said.

"I was able to compose a character as opposed to being very natural, so it was very interesting for me. It was great to realise that I could be this kind of real woman!" she added.
