Student killed in Palamu
Daltonganj, Jun 12 (UNI) A student was today run over and killed by a heavy crane near B-more at Daltonganj-Rehla main road under Vishrampur police station area in Jharkhand's Palamu district.
Police said the deceased, Pramod Thakur, native of same police station area, died on the spot.
Agitated over the incident locals blocked the road for about two hours.
The blockade was lifted after the district administration assured to provide adequate compensation to the bereaved family.
