STF to probe DIOS murder case

Jaunpur, Jun 12: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) murder case here to the Special Task Force (STF).

STF Superintendent of Police Amitabh Yash told the sources today that the STF would now investigate the DIOS Dinesh Chandra Pandey's murder case and his team had reached the district yesterday.

On May 28, Mr Pandey was shot dead at his office. Several arrests, including that of a BJP leader, had been made into the case.

However, main accused Anjini Srivastava, a teacher, was still at large.

The decision of transferring the case was taken on the request of education department officials.
