Sonia to visit Mizoram on June 14

Aizawl, Jun 12(UNI) UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is expected to visit Mizoram on June 14 to take stock of the situation in the southern parts of Mizoram, the worst hit area by Mautam (bamboo flowering) famine.

An informed source today said Sonia, after arriving at the Lengpui airport, would be directly taken to the south by helicopter but not before addressing the press and the locals at the airport.

She is expected to fly from Guwahati by helicopter.
