Rural development dept. official held with bribe
Patna, June 12 (UNI) The state vigilance bureau today arrested a Head-clerk of the special division of Rural Development Department at Jamui while accepting a bribe of Rs 2500.
Additional Director General of the bureau Neelmani said here that Yogendra Kumar Singh, a retired clerk of the department, had complained the bureau that Harihar Prasad, the Head-clerk, was demanding Rs 9000 to clear the pending amount of his pension.
A trap was laid by the bureau which arrested the Head-clerk while accepting Rs 2500, the first instalment of the bribe in his office during the day.
The arrested official will be produced in the special vigilance court here at the bureau headquarter tomorrow.
