Major injured, militant killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 12 (UNI) An Army Major was injured and a militant was killed in a fierce encounter in north Kashmir, an official spokesman said today.

He said an encounter took place between militants and security forces at Khanday Mohalla, Pattan, in north Kashmir district of Baramulla during a search operation.

Security forces recovered one AK rifle, one magazine, 16 rounds of ammunition and one wire cutter at Shalla Bhuto in Keran sector.
