Heavy rainfall likely in parts of Bengal
Kolkata, Jun 12 (UNI) Though the Met department had announced the arrival of monsoon, all parts of the city did not receive rainfall with the sun playing hide and seek at times.
In the city, the sky remained cloudy with sunshine being interrupted with spells of showers throughout the day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.7 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 27.2 degrees.
Met sources predicted the sky to remain partly cloudy with the possibility of spells of rain and thundershowers in some areas.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar in the next 24 hours, Met Department sources warned.
