Groundnut, its oil recovers

Mumbai, Jun 12 (UNI) Spot prices of groundnut and its oil recovered today on improved demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oils (per ten Kg) groundnut raw, sunflower, cottonseed (Refined) rose by Rs 5 each on better buying support by stockists.

Palm oil remained steady on moderate demand.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnut kernel and castorseed Disa were up by Rs 25 and Rs 50, while nigerseed 4 fell by Rs 25 on lack of demand by stockists.

In Deoiled cakes (per tonnes), groundnut extra shot up by Rs 200 on good demand, while cottonseed and sunflower extra eased by Rs 200 and Rs 100 respectively on sluggish demand by stockists, traders added.
