Decks clear for Gujjar-Govt talks in Jaipur
Jaipur, Jun 12 (UNI) The agitating Gujjar leaders today expressed their readiness to come here to hold further round of talks with the Rajasthan Government over their ST status demand, after the grant of bail to 25 women protesters who were arrested for "damaging railway property and blocking Delhi Jaipur rail route near Bandikui".
The administration was making arrangements to escort the Gujjar delegation to Jaipur for holding second round of talks at the earliest, an Official Spokesperson told UNI from Bayana over telephone.
A bus had been sent to Pillukapura to take the Gujjar delegates, around 22 to 24 in number, to Jaipur for talks, the spokesperson said.
Prior to this, Additional District and Session Judge Dausa Bhuvan Goyal today granted bail to the accused 25 women in the case under Section 150, 151 and 152 of the Railway Act.
Earlier, their application for bail were rejected yesterday by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandikui on the ground of lack of jurisdiction.
