AIADMK legislator charge DMK cadres

Puducherry, Jun 12 (UNI) AIADMK legislator Om Sakthi Sekhar today alleged that DMK cadres, with the help of police, were trying to eliminate him.

Addressing a press conference here he charged that former legislator and state DMK convenor R V Janakiraman and his supporters had developed animosity towards him realising that the party could not win the Nellothoppe constituency anymore.

He charged that ever since he won the elections from that constituency, the DMK cadres had been ''creating problems'' for him in the constituency.

Referring to a clash between the AIADMK and DMK caders at Nellithoppe recently, he charged that without registering his complaint, police registered cases against his son and other relatives who were not connected with the incident.

He said he had given a representation to the Lt.Governor, Chief Secretary and Senior Superintendent of police urging proper action against them.
