34 convicted in fodder scam
Ranchi, Jun 12 (UNI) The CBI designated court today convicted 34 people in connection with the multi-crore fodder scam unearthed in 1990s.
CBI special judge Sanjay Prasad passed the order after hearing the parties in RC 39A/96.
The quantum of punishment would be heard on June 19 next.
Shiv Kumar Kaka, appearing on behalf of the investigating agency, informed the court that around Rs 1,47,7294 had been withdrawn from the Dumka treasury on a fake document.
There were 46 accused in the case out of which four died during the trial.
Three accused became government approvars, another three pleaded guilty before the court and rest two were absconding.
