Woman commits suicide along with son

Hooghly, Jun 11 (UNI) A middle-aged woman today committed suicide along with her son by jumping in front of a speeding train at the Dhaniakhali station on the Howrah-Bardhaman section.

Dhaniakhali police station officer in-charge Biswajeet Ghoshal said the woman, along with her two sons and one daughter, aged between 10-12 years, jumped in front of the speeding Benaras-Howrah Bibhuti Express.

The woman and one of her sons died on the spot while the daughter and another son were rushed to the Bardhaman Medical College and Hospital in serious condition.

The bodies were sent for post-mortem and identification, the OC added.
