Cherry growers rejoice in hope of a bumper crop

Kashmir June 10, 2008: Cherry growers in Kashmir have a reason to celebrate as they are expecting a bumper cherry crop this year.

Kashmir cherry enjoys virtually a monopoly as the fruit from the state is preferred across the country for its taste and quality. The production of cherry is increasing ever year. According to the horticulture department the cherry production is expected to be good this year.
