Vice-President on two-day visit to Bihar
Patna, Jun 11 (UNI) Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari arrived here today on a two-day maiden visit to Bihar.
Dr Ansari was received at the Jai Prakash Narayan International airport by Governor R S Gavai, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, several State Cabinet ministers and a number of senior government officials among others.
From the airport, the Vice-President's motorcade drove straight to the Hindi Bhawan to inaugurate the Chandragupta Institute of Management here.
After a brief halt at Raj bhavan, Dr Ansari would go to Phulwarisharif to attend a function at Emarat-e-sharia, a reputed religious institute of the eastern region.
After spending the night at Raj bhavan the Vice-President would leave for Bodhgaya tomorrow morning and after visiting the famous Mahabodhi temple he would leave for Delhi from the Gaya International Airport rounding off his two-day visit.
