Trend Micro brings solutions for web threats; eyes 37% mkt share

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) Targeting a 37 per cent market share of the country's Rs 1,000 content security market, Trend Micro today unveiled products that will protect small business and eCommerce site owners against a broad array of web threats.

''Web threats have increased over 1,500 per cent since 2005.

A single inadvertent click can be disastrous, enabling a web threat to infiltrate the business through fast growing malicious websites, hacked legitimate websites and mailcious sponsored links,'' company Country Manager Niraj Kaushik told reporters here.

The company has 30 per cent share in the country's Rs 1,000 crore content security market space and it targets 35-37 per cent share this fiscal.

The global leader (in internet content security) has introduced Worry-Free Business Security 5.0 range for the small and medium business owners and Worry-Free SecureSite for eCommerce retailers whose revenue and brand reputation depend upon the security of their websites.

With no diversification plans, Trend Micro India is mainly focussing on the security research in the content security segment and expects to provide more solutions for preventing data leakages.
