Shipping Corp Q4 net profit declines 14.4% to Rs 248.69 cr

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) Shipping Corporation of India Ltd today said it net profit declined 14.4 per cent to Rs 248.69 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 284.65 crore in the corresponding period previous year.

The total income, however, increased 8.2 per cent to Rs 1,177.44 crore for the Q4 FY08 from Rs 1080.56 crore for the same period last fiscal.

The company's net profit decreased 24.6 per cent to Rs 813.90 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1014.58 crore for the last financial year.

The total income also decreased three per cent to Rs 4,084.36 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 4, 210.36 crore for 2006-07.
