Ravi Dhingra appointed sec of Inter State Council Secretariat

New Delhi, Jun 11 (UNI) The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ravi Dhingra as Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat in the Home Ministry.

Mr Dhingra, an IAS officer of 1972 batch in the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed in the pay of Secretary.

V Venkatachalam has been appointed as the Director General of the Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (CAPART) under the Rural Development Ministry.

Mr Venkatachalam, an IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre of 1977 batch and presently in the cadre, will hold the post in the rank in the pay of Additional Secretary.

Chinmay Basu has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development. He is an IAS officer of Orissa cadre of 1977 batch and presently in the cadre.

Meanwhile, the orders appointing S M Hoda, an IAS of Tamil Nadu cadre of 1976 batch, in the post stands cancelled.
