Prof CNR Rao Education Foundation: Awards

Bangalore, Jun 11(UNI) Mr Upkar Dutt Sharma, Assistant Teacher, CAB Inter College, Meerut and Mr Linganand K Gavimath, Assistant Teacher, Government P U College, Hunnur, Bagalkot District,Karnataka have bagged 'Outstanding Science Teacher Award' instituted by Prof C N Rao Education Foundation, for the year 2007.

According to a release, the Foundation, which extends financial support for students pursuing Science as a career and honour Science teachers for their invaluable service towards science education.

The Award was instituted in 2005 by renowned scientist Prof C N R Rao. The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore is administering the activities of the Foundtion.

The award will be presented at a function on July One.
