{image-pak boopadam_11062008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Islamabad, Jun 11: Pakistan today condemned as ''completely unprovoked and cowardly act'' the missile strike on a Frontier Corps post, and lodged a strong protest with coalition forces deployed in Afghanistan.

An army spokesman said last night, Frontier Corps border check post at Gora Prai in Mohmand tribal region was destroyed by Coalition Forces in Afghanistan through an aerial attack. ''Resultantly, eleven Security Forces Personnel, including one officer embraced shahdat or martyrdom,'' he said in a statement in Islamabad. The spokesman blamed the Coalition Forces for the violent act and said the incident had hit at the very basis of cooperation and sacrifice with which Pakistani soldiers were supporting the coalition in war against terror.

He highlighted that such acts of aggression do not serve the common cause of fighting terrorism.

''A strong protest has been lodged by the Pakistan army and we reserve the right to protect our citizen and soldiers against aggression,'' he added.
