Orissa to upgrade roads on PPP mode
Bhubaneswar, June 11 (UNI) The Orissa government today decided to take up improvement of four roads on Public Private Partnership mode at an estimated cost of Rs 2050.04 crore.
The empowerment committee on investment cleared the roads, which included four laning of 165 km long Sambalpur-Rourkela road at an estimated cost of Rs 1340 crore, 42.5 km Koira- Barsuan-Lahunipada at an estimated cost of Rs 217.8 crore, Joda-Bamberi road at a cost of Rs 188.6 crore and the Rs 304 crore Capital Region Ring Road.
Official sources said M/s Price Waterhouse Cooper and LEA Associates South Asia Pvt Ltd were appointed the joint technical consultants for these projects.
The survey for these projects had been completed and the construction work would start soon after the tender was finalised.
