N N Vohra appointed Governor of J and K

New Delhi, Jun 11 (UNI) Former Union Home Secretary and senior bureaucrat N N Vohra has been appointed Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. it was officially announced here today.

''The President of India has been pleased to appoint Shri Narinder Nath Vohra to be the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office,'' a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement said.

Mr Vohra, who was the centre's interlocutor with Kashmir separatists, will replace Lt Gen (Retd.) S K Sinha.
