Man buried alive as building collapses
Bareilly, Jun 11 (UNI) One person was buried alive and ten others sustained grievous injuries after a three-storey building collapsed in the busy Shahmatganj area here today.
The incident occurred after the roof of a Rama Pansari shop, a three storey building caved-in, killing one pedestrian on the spot, police said.
However, bomb blast rumor gripped the area creating panic among the people, who heaved a sigh of relief only after senior officials reached the spot and cleared the reason of explosion alike sound.
The dilapidated building collapsed unable to bear the unseasonal rainfall, official sources said.
The deceased was identified as Nihaluddin of Semlakheda.
The injured were admitted to district hospital, they added.
