Journalists boycott CM's programme
Satna, MP, June 11 (UNI) Journalists here today boycotted programme of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to protest alleged police harassment during news coverage.
Journalists have announced boycotting government programmes over being driven away by police when they had gone to cover agitation on June 9 by family members of one Santosh Choudhary, who was beaten to death in Sohalwal.
A cameraman's camera was destroyed during the incident.
Journalists have been demanding action against the Station House Officer.
Mediapersons boycotted programme of Mr Chouhan, who was here to take part in a programme related to women empowerment. Later, they went to airport to meet the Chief Minister but were stopped by police.
