Employment for next of kin of children killed in Wullar tragedy
Srinagar, Jun 11 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has provided employment to one member each of the families who lost their children in Wullar tragedy on May 30,2006 in north Kashmir.
An official spokesman today said the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Kachoo Isfandyar Khan handed over appointment orders to eleven such beneficiaries.
Twenty-one school children and a teacher died after the naval boat carrying them capsized.
About 100 children along with their teachers had gone on a picnic to Wullar lake. On seeing naval boats, they had requested for a ride.
