1 woman killed, another injured in beam collapse
Mumbai, Jun 11 (UNI) One woman was killed and another sustained injuries after a beam of Bombay Port Trust (BPT) MNC shed collapsed on them near Sasoon Dock of Colaba in south Mumbai.
Police said here today that demolition work was in progress at the MNC shed, where the victims were working when one of the beam fell on them and injured both of them.
Injured women were rushed to St George hospital. One of the two, Mehboob Shaikh (20), was declared dead before admission, while Kajilbin Shaikh (31) suffered leg injury.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and further investigation is in progress.
