Two killed and three injured in Kashmir

Srinagar Jun 10 (UNI) Two people were killed and three others injured in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said three people were injured critically when a truck on its way to Jammu from here collided with a tractor at Mirbazar in Anantnag on the highway.

The injured were admitted to hospital where Javed Ahmad Bhat and Rayees Ahmad succumbed to their injuries. The third injured Bashir Ahmad was later referred to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura.

In another incident, 53-year-old Hajra was critically injured when a truck hit her near Shampora in south Kashmir while another woman Kulsuma was injured in a similar accident at Kangan on the Srinagar-Leh national highway. The injured were hospitalised, the sources added.
