Three prisoners appear for examination from jail

Berhampur, Jun 10 (UNI) Crime put them behind the bars but knowledge for them has no bar.

Three prisoners Gobardhan Bisoyi, Dhiraj Mohan Chowdhury and Jagadish Chandra Sahu, undergoing life imprisonment in Berhampur Circle Jail here for murder, appeared in Plus Three Arts Examination under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) yesterday.

The examination, which started yesterday, would continue till June 23, Jail sources said.

While Gobardhan, a resident of Purushottampur, was convicted of murder on May 30,2001, Dhiraj and Jagdish, both residents of Gosaninuagaon in Berhampur, were convicted of the same charge on February 24, 2003, Senior Superintendent Berhampur Circle Jail Bankim Chandra Mohanty said.
