Tata slashes STD rates

Shimla, June 10 (UNI) Tata Teleservices today introduced three new tariff plans for its postpaid subscribers in Himachal Pradesh under Plans 150, 275 and 450.

Plan 150, with a rental of Rs 100, allows customers to make STD and local calls along with sms to anyone anywhere at only 90 paise per minute, whereas under Plan 275 customers were provided STD, local calls and sms at only 50 paise per minute to any number across the country.

Under Plan 450, customers could make local and STD calls anywhere in the country absolutely free, while a STD call would cost Rs one per minute to any other network mobile or landline. A local call, however, cost 50 paise per minute.

Speaking on the occasion, Himachal's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Vinay Bhan said the tariff plans have been designed to cater to the needs to one and all.

Each plan has its uniqueness and depending on the usage and spend, the customer could now choose his plan among the bouquet of options available, he added.
