Tata Elxsi plans Capex of Rs 45 cr for FY09

Mumbai, June 10 (UNI) Tata Group's technology arm Tata Elxsi has planned a Rs 45 crore capital expanditure (Capex) for FY09 and will increase it's head-count upto 4,500 by the end of this fiscal, a top official of the company said.

The firm, with its multi-verticals including product design services, innovation design engineering, system integration services and annimation, expects a revenue growth of upto 20 per cent in industrial design business for the current fiscal, Company CEO and Managing Director Madhukar Dev told reporters here today.

The company has expanded its facility at Thiruvanantpuram and set up a new facility at Hyderabad. Another setup at Coimbatore is like to be completed in a couple of months, which will help the company to meet the scale-up requirement of its clients, Mr Dev said.

The new development centres will assist customers on industrial product design and development and also provide high quality solutions.

The company gets 85 per cent overseas business, consisting of 75 per cent revenue generation from software business, 10 per cent from industrial design, 10 per cent from system integration services and 5 per cent from annimation and visual effect generation, Mr Dev said.

''We expect that the revenue share of industrial design will grow upto 20 per cent in the current fiscal as the demand in the market is increasing constantly,'' he said.
