Sugar prices remain steady

Navi Mumbai, Jun 10 (UNI) Except medium grade sugar, the sugar prices remained steady today, on moderate demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Price of medium grade sugar fell by Rs 10 per quintal, due to sluggish demand from stockists.

Small grade sugar, ex-mill small and medium grade sugar remained flat on moderate demand, traders said.

Following are the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,455/1,510, Medium grade: Rs 1,485/1,570.

Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,450/1,475 and medium grade: Rs 1,475/1,490.
