Rupee weakens five paise against USD in opening trade

Mumbai, Jun 10 (UNI) Rupee today further weakened by about five paise against US Dollar at 42.92/93 from its previous close of 42.87/88 per Dollar tracking the down trend in local equity market.

The Indian currency further skid on worries that foreign funds may pull out more from the wobbly local stock market. However, Rupee decline against greenback was limited on expectations that the Reserve Bank of India would intervene by selling Dollars, dealers said.
