Robbers steal Silver, cash from Sai temple

Ambala, Jun 10 (UNI) Thieves stole silver ornaments and cash from the Sai Temple Jalbehra Road here, police today said.

The burglers who had entered the temple last night by breaking the locks, made away with silver chhatar (canopy) and paduka (slippers) weighing about 5 kg.

They also stole cash worth Rs 20,000 from the cash box by breaking open its locks.

The incident came to light when the priest woke up early in the morning and found the locks broken.

He informed the temple trustees who lodged complaint with the Police.
