Kolhapur, Jun 10 (UNI) Senior NCP leader and MP Sadashivrao Mandlik today said he was ready to accept any decision of the party high command to end the dispute with fellow partyman and Maharashtra school education minister Hasan Mushrif in the interest of the party.
He made this comment while speaking at a function, organised by the city unit to mark the party's tenth anniversary.
Both Mr Mandlik and Mr Mushrif were good friends for last 20 years. However, since a year and a half ago, the differences between them grew over election to the chairman's post of Kolhapur District Central Cooperative Bank. Since then, the two leaders were involved in mud slinging. Despite the intervention of other senior leaders like state party president Arun Gujarathi, deputy chief minister R R Patil and state finance minister Jayant Patil, there was no end to their feud.
He said the BJP's recent thumping victory in Karanataka and Gujarat assembly elections was owing to internal bickering in the Congress party, an ally. Because of which, the communal forces have got an advantage. Hence it has become necessary to fight against these forces jointly with like-minded secular parties like Congress and others, he added.
