Punjab agri university to get 37 crop varieties registered
Ludhiana, June 10 (UNI) Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) that played a major role in the Green Revolution will seek registeration of 37 crop varieties, developed by the university.
PAU sources said here today, that the university will approach the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Authority for the registeration of 37 varieties of 14 crops.
The Authority is the registeration body of crop varieties in the country.
PAU has already intiated the process through Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi.
