Police rescues baby
Puducherry, Jun 10 (UNI) D Nagar police here today registered a case and rushed to Vandavasi to rescue a baby, taken away from the JIPMER hospital here.
According to police, Alamelu of Thirukovilur and Sabeetha of Vandavasi gave birth to a baby boy and girl, respectively, on Sunday last. When Alamelu and her mother went for a scan this evening, Sabeetha allegedly kept her baby in the place of Alamelu's baby and took away the boy.
Alamelu and her relatives lodged a complaint with D Nagar police.
