NCP celebrates its 10th foundation day
New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) today celebrated its 10th foundation day here recommiting itself to work for social justice, unity and secularism.
The leaders and the party workers resolved to maintain peace and coordination with the people. National General secretaries D P Tripathi and T P Peethambaran urged the party workers to work together and gear up for the forth coming Lok Sabha elections.
Mahesh Awana, Municipal councillor said the party has faired well in the previous elections and will make a difference in these elections also. The leaders said the party will not compromise with the divisive forces and will not let the anti-secular forces to survive during the forth coming elections.
Other leaders including the vice-presidents of Delhi NCP Kishore Gohri, Mahavir Fauji, Satya Prakash Swami, General Secrataries Mukesh Malhotra, Mohammad Asif, Mahender Nagi, Secrataries Pahalwan Sanjay Dabra, Jhala Thakur, Santosh Meghwal, Dilip Jha. Chairman of the Minority Comission Parvej Saifi along with Mahmood Hassan Ansari, Sushma Kashyap, Sudhir Vats, Dhir Singh reasserted the party pledge and vowed to fight the forth coming elections on secular agenda.
Mr Awana said, ''Party leader Sharad Pawar has always aimed to have a secular country and keeping up his spirit, we will never compromise with the non-secular forces and other divisive forces. No alingnments with any party having non-secular agenda will be made by NCP, he added.
