Monsoon covers entire AP

Hyderabad, June 10 (UNI) Southwest monsoon has further advanced over remaining parts of Telangana, covering entire Andhra Pradesh today.

Rain occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and isolated rain occurred over Rayalaseema, the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) officials said here.

Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at many places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari of Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Telangana, Rayalaseema and in the remaining parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the period.

Hyderabad would experience cloudy sky. Rain or thundershowers were likely in parts of the city.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm were Chintapalli six, Mulugu and Venkatapuram five each, Amalapuram, Chodavaram and Dummagudem four each, Visakhapatnam, Chinnoor, Elamanchili, Paderu three each.
