Heavy rains in Goa, coastal K'taka
Pune, Jun 10 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Orissa and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Madhya Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They are also to occur at a few places in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Gujrat region, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.
The south-west monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat state, Marathwada, entire Telangana, parts of Vidarbha, parts of Chhattisgarh, entire Orissa, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and most parts of Bihar.
Also conditions are favourable for further advance of the south-west monsoon into remaining parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, parts of east Madhya Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh within next 2-3 day.
In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, the day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu, Gujarat region and in parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Chhattisgarh. They were below nomal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, whie normal over the rest of the regions.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Uttarakhand and west Rajasthan.
