Gorkha Rifles first to update info kiosk

Shillong, Jun 10 (UNI) With a view to providing necessary information and other facilities to the serving as well as retired personnel, the 58 Gorkha Rifles has updated its inforamtion kiosk, the first among 48 such units in the Indian Army to take the initiative.

Commandant of 58 Gorkha Training Centre Brigadier Ashok Pradhan said the kiosk, christened 'Jawan Suchna Kendra', was set up for serving the retired personnel and their families by furnishing necessary information for their interest and convenience.

The record office undertakes the tasks that fall under personnel management, including salary administration of personnel below officer's rank.
