Gold December 08 contract down

Mumbai, Jun 10 (UNI) Gold December 08 contract was down by 1.40 per cent to Rs 12,422 per 10 grams, at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) today.

Silver February 09 contract lost by 1.69 per cent to Rs 24,499 per kg. Nickel June 08 contract gained by 2.32 per cent at Rs 968.50 per kg, while July 08 contract went up by 2.30 per cent at Rs 978 per kg. Apart from nickel all other metal contracts fell. Copper November 08 contract fell by 1.34 per cent to Rs 337.85 per kg. Tin June 08 contract went down by 2.41 per cent to Rs 922.25 per kg and zinc June 08 contract by 2 per cent to Rs 83.10 per kg.

Crude oil August 08 contract receded by 0.58 per cent to Rs 5,780 per barrel.

Mentha oil July 08 contract shed 2.24 per cent at Rs 467.60 per kg, jute June 08 contract lost by 1.39 per cent at Rs 1,561 per quintal. Pepper June 08 contract fell by 2 per cent to Rs 14,700 per quintal. Turmeric July 08 contract rose by 2.01 per cent to Rs 4,220 per quintal and soyabean July 08 contract fell by 1.34 per cent to Rs 2,470 per quintal.

Cardamom August 08 contract was up by 3.29 per cent to Rs 627.50 per kg, while silver December 08 contract was down by 2.99 per cent to Rs 24,310 per kg, MCX release said.
