Driver loots Rs 10.30 lakhs from his master
Madikeri, Karnataka, June 10 (UNI) A driver has robbed Rs 10.30 lakhs belonging to his master in south Kodagu yesterday.
Police said that Mr Mohammed Sadali from Kerala, running a Coffee curing works at Periyapatna had withdrawn the money from a bank at Virajpet for buying Coffee from planters and was proceeding in his car to Periyapatna.
He took a stop at Korakotu village near Srimangala to answer nature's call and was shocked to see that the driver Jainuddin was driving away the car with the money.
Mr Sadali walked 1.5 kilometers to the nearest police station and lodged a complaint with the Srimangala police.
The car was found abandoned in the evening at the same place from where it was stolen. However, the driver has escaped with the money.
