Congress, JD(S) workers attacked

Mysore, Jun 10 (UNI) Two persons, belonging to the Congress and the JD(S), were allegedly attacked by supporters of a BJP leader with clubs, resulting in severe head injuries to the victims at Parasaiahundi, near here, today.

Police said nine supporters of a BJP leader attacked Congress worker Anand and JD(S) worker Mahadev with lethal weapons.

The injured were admitted to the K R Hospital here.

In a complaint filed with the police, it was alleged that the victims were attacked of vengeance for passing on information to the police about the alleged distribution of money during the recently-concluded Assembly elections.
